Although we are naturally light-hearted, we can’t look past all the hardship that people around the world have endured in the last couple of years. We thought a message of hope would be appropriate here. A carbonic cheerful Shiraz from the Sparrows vineyard. Very light, almost Loire-esque, but in Shiraz. Blackberries and hay bales. As light as Shiraz gets, really. 10.9% alcohol, perfumed and pure.
Russian-born winemaker Alex Schulkin and his wife Galit make pristine zero-zero wine in Adelaide Hills. Alex is also a researcher at the Australian Wine Research Institute in his day job. Makes sense.
