The vines on the Magpie Springs property in Hope Forest are producing better and better fruit each year. Undervine work and mid-row cultivation plus cover crops have allowed this vineyard to increase its vigour and produce fruit of wonderful quality in the 2021 harvest. A long ripening period and making the decision to pick a touch later has allowed the vineyard and pinot flavours to shine through here. I really like this wine, it feels classic and new all at once and is on our table regularly at home as we move into the colder months.
