"On the nose this wine is true to the grape, cut grass, jalapeño, yellow pitted fruits and flint. Being only a few kilometres from the sea, the salty tones meet with the soils limestone minerality, giving the wine length and energy. The shape of the wine on the palate is curvy and oily which compliment the intense aromas and softens the liquid hard edges. There is a balance to this drop that was achieved in multiple picks and considered winemaking, it’s not an easy variety to work with but I’m proud of the results.
Aged for 1.5 years in large format new Austrian oak and in bottle for half a year before release. 500 litres in total."
