2021 Dirty Black Denim Electric Marsanne
WINEMAKER: Tim & Lawrence Scanlon
VARIETAL: Marsanne
REGION: Heathcote, VIC
VITICULTURE: Organic/Biodynamic
Like 2020, we fermented on skins for 3 weeks, plunging the cap three times a day for that period. Unlike last year, we left it on skins for 6 months more. As the tannin profile was quite extreme, we decided against pressing the skins and drained the wine off. Which meant we only got a 40% extraction rate. It’s a bloody lovely wine and bottled with zero s02. So excited to get this out!
"We aim to make wines that should be drunk from a mug or tumbler in a park with your mates. All of our booze is made without chemical interference (except for the occasional hit of SO2 at bottling) and we source our fruit from multiple regions across Victoria, with a focus on terroir expression and alternate winemaking styles. - Tim & Lawrence Scanlon
