2021 Dirty Black Denim Barbera Novello

Destemed Barbera from the lovely Corsini family in the King. 5 Days maceration before finishing ferment in large oak. Aging was half tank, half old wood. Probably the closest wine we’ve got to a rosé, but still in the light red camp. Watermelon juice and raspberry on show here, with a bit of orange rind tartness.

"We aim to make wines that should be drunk from a mug or tumbler in a park with your mates. All of our booze is made without chemical interference (except for the occasional hit of SO2 at bottling) and we source our fruit from multiple regions across Victoria, with a focus on terroir expression and alternate winemaking styles. - Tim & Lawrence Scanlon
