"This is pretty amazing gamay d’Auvergne from Catherine Dumora who is the incredible talent behind northern Auvergne winery l’egrappille. The 2017 109 comes from an ancient vineyard on a basalt plateau just outside the village of Blanzat. This is deep red and with extraordinarily delicious earthy, forest-y fruit. It’s precise and very pure and, in terms of sheer quality, one of the most brilliant wines in the shop." - Campbell

Catherine Dumora tends to small plots of vines just north of Clermont-Ferrand, around three hectares of mostly ancient gamay on basalt soil up to 400m above sea level. She works organically, using flower and plant preparations as treatment, and entirely without additives or sulphur. Pure and intensely mineral.
