2014 Benoit Rosenberger Verre de Terre

Volcano wine! Auvergne is a truly special region in central France, surrounded by dormant volcanoes producing wines of intense minerality and complexity. One of Auvergne's most highly sought after producers is Benoit Rosenberger, the 'wolf of the vineyards'. He farms three hectares of Gamay d'Auvergne, 50-80 year old vines grown on pure black basalt, some parcels up to 500m above sea level. Zero adds. Tiny quantities from this cult producer - don't miss out.
This is Benoit's first wine. From a cold vintage, less whole bunch. Singing.
